Happy New Year.

We are extremely reluctant to do this, but following increases in the costs of some of our raw materials, bottling, gift box manufacturing and transport we have no choice but to reflect these increased costs in our product pricing.

Whilst we are going to maintain the price of the bottle-only version of our Ealing Gin at £44.50, as from later today (5th January 2022) we will be increasing the RRP of our gift-boxed Ealing Gin to £48.00 (up from £46.75).

Following another successful Christmas sales period, we continue to grow, and will spend the next year looking to make savings in our production so we do not have to raise prices again.

Gold Awards from both IWSC and The Gin Masters

Ealing Gin, the beautifully, hand-crafted, small-batch gin made by husband and wife team Simon and Amanda Duncan has won gold medal recognition in two international drinks competitions.

The judges in the highly prestigious IWSC (International Wine & Spirits Competition) awarded gold medals to just 12 of the 350 gins in the Classic London Dry category – relative newcomer Ealing Gin scooped one of those golds with a score of 95 points.

“We re-worked and refined our recipe many times before settling on the final one. We wanted something genuinely distinctive that combined both classical and more modern notes. Above all, however, we wanted deep flavours, beautifully balanced – a wonderfully smooth and pleasing drinking experience. We couldn’t be more delighted that the IWSC judges agree we’ve achieved that!” Comments, Amanda Duncan.

Judges note: Juicy citrus, floral, camomile and juniper clearly coming through on the aromas in the nose. Botanicals layering on the palate with pine and juniper at the forefront combining with citrus. Good balance and classical flavours displayed in this spirit.

The gin, launched just 18 months ago, has also won recognition in the highly esteemed Spirits Business Gin Masters 2021. The competition doubled in size from 2020 with 470 gins entered from around the world. Ealing Gin was again awarded a Gold medal in the “Ultra Premium” category.

“This is probably the most exciting week we’ve had since we launched, it hasn’t been easy this last year or so, but it is so exciting and fulfilling to get this type of recognition from the very best people in the industry. We have big ambitions for Ealing Gin and these accolades are definitely going to help us achieve them.” says Duncan.

APC has just informed us:
“SERVICE UPDATE- MONDAY 21^st DECEMBER- Further to the recent Tier 4 announcements, APC Overnight will not be accepting additional parcel volume for delivery into Tier 4 areas until further notice. This is to enable outstanding deliveries to be actioned and to maintain the safety of those within the network. Thank you for your understanding at this time.”

Some orders placed on Tuesday 22nd December and even Wednesday 23rd December 2020 may still get delivered before Christmas (although deliveries into Tier 4 areas are now unlikely), but we cannot guarantee it, and you’ll be placing these orders at your own risk.

Due to the time of year and COVID restrictions, our fulfilment house and couriers have been under enormous strain.
